Configuring VoIP Settings, AI, and Voicemail

In this article, you will learn how to manage communication credits, call recording, AI transcriptions, and voicemail preferences.

The VoIP settings section serves as your financial and AI control center. Automated call recording and AI transcription eliminate manual note-taking by extracting action items from client calls, while custom voicemail preferences ensure team members never miss critical messages.

Setting Up Billing, AI, and Voicemail

In order to adjust credit preferences, AI automation, and default voicemail, you will need to access your Settings tab.

1. Review Credit Usage:
Monitor your available credits in the billing rules section.

  • 1 minute of talk time = 1 credit.
  • 1 standard text (SMS) = 0.7 credits.
  • 1 picture message (MMS) = 3 credits.

2. Configure Recording & AI:
Scroll to the Recording and AI section and toggle on the features.

  • Enable automated call recording.
  • Enable text transcriptions and AI action item extraction.

3. Select Default Hold Music:
Scroll down to select your default hold music (such as standard Soft Piano).

4. Set Up Global Voicemail Greetings:
Choose how your voicemail greeting is generated:

  • Select Text-to-Speech and type out your greeting script.
  • Select Audio File and choose an uploaded asset from your library.

5. Customize Beep Audio:
Select your preferred beep audio played right before voicemail recording starts.

Note

When new voicemails are recorded by incoming callers, real-time alerts will appear under the Bell icon located at the top of your workspace dashboard.

Now that your settings, recordings, and voicemails are configured, incoming interactions will automatically generate logs, transcriptions, and action items in your workspace.
